Recently, we processed a stepped tool with three PCD-tipped cutting edges. The standout feature? An inner radius of just 17 μm on the PCD insert. Plus, edge rounding can be defined with absolute accuracy: whether 1.18 μm, 6 μm, or 9 μm. That’s precision you can only truly appreciate under a microscope!
